DmC: Devil May Cry OST / Combichrist Bundle

DmC: Devil May Cry OST has some really great tracks that are made by Noisia. Personally, my favorite is Lilith's Club (Awesome level). If you guys are looking for the song used on the E3 trailer, it is this one CLICK HERE by Combichrist. There's actually 2 OST for DmC, one by Noisia and one by Combichrist. Links are below. For the Noisia version of the OST, the price was $4 when it came out, then it jumped to $15, and now its stuck to $10, so I'm not sure what the price jumps were all about; the Combichrist version, though, has been $10 from day 1 to present. Anyways, here are the links, with samples from Amazon.

As an added note, the DmC Page on Facebook announced the Combichrist store with bundles.

I will post a link below showing you the website. You can either buy just the shirt, just the soundtrack, or all of the above; there are also 2 different t-shirt designs. Shirts are $20; The CD's range from $13-$30; DmC game is $55; the bundle is $90, which you save $15. So check em out.

[Review] DmC: Devil May Cry

Image from DmC Wikia - Link
I want to make this review as legit and fair as possible because there's a lot I want to say about this game.
To add a credibility on my review, I played every DmC game 1-4 and finished all of them, even on the hardest difficulty (1 hit KO on anything). I am also a huge fan of hack-n-slash games and I am an avid game collector. Here's my take on the new DmC.

I will sub-categorize into 2 category: The perspective for a new player / The perspective for an hardcore DmC player.
The perspective for a new player is a list of notes that should be read by new players to the series because I really believe this is the best DmC to start off with, (or the first DmC). Whilst I added "The perspective for an hardcore DmC player" which is a separate category because DmC hardcore fans are so quick to assume this is a bad game because of the aesthetics of the game.

The perspective for a new player:
- This reboot is "perfect" for a newcomer. The gameplay mechanic is as solid as DmC 1, 3, and 4. If you haven't played any previous DmC, this is a great game to start.
- The story is "so-so" but the action makes up for it; there are a lot of stylish moments that would introduce how badass Dante is.
- The graphics are AMAZING. The background design and events are as good as God of War, FFXIII, etc.
- The voicing is top quality. The voice actor really suits Dante.
- The replayability is really high if you are a completionist.
- Enemy and boss battles are FUN!
- Leaderboards on mission rankings.

The perspective for an hardcore DmC player:
Image from Capcom-Unity - Link
- This game is as in-depth as DmC 3 and 4. (It doesn't have the annoying button timing on combo actions that DmC 4 had, remember the gearing?)
- The weapons are amazing, and the layout is easy enough for you to remember every command input without thinking.
- SSS is easy to get though.
- The hardest difficulty is pretty hard, but not as hard as DmC 3. (It's still a great challenge though, and it's definitely not an easy ride)
- After playing DmC quite a bit, Dante's new look was easy to get over with. (Seriously guys, play the game and shut up about his looks; its not bad), it's like hating on your close friend because he cut his hair. It's like the book quote, "Don't judge a book by its cover" because the game is fun as hell.
You might be surprise on what you'll see by the end of the game. ;)
- As of 01/18, Destructoid posted screenshots of the new DLC costumes, and one of them is the old Dante look.

- You might think some parts are corny, but if you replay the old DmC, they are "corny" as well.
- The story is interesting and "so-so" but I find the story great compared to the old DmC's. (The old DmC's have a HORRIBLE story, which is unmemorable)
- I always thought no DmC would be as stylish as DmC 3, but I was wrong, this reboot has as much badass moves than the previous DMC. Plus. the combos can be ridiculously awesome and stylish!
- When you finish the game, the next playthrough will have difference enemy spawns. The hard enemies on your first playthrough will be shown way earlier in the game) so the replayability is pretty high.
- Bloody Palace is back, but you have to wait for the free DLC to be released.
- Some boss fights are easy, but they are "Fun" and "Fair".
- Remember on the old DmC when you finish a mission, you hear that kind of depressing ambient sound? its here! It's really nostalgic and how the missions and chapter works are similar to the old DMC.

- No puzzles, except near the end of the game
- I would also like to add that there are a ton of "hidden" stuffs in the game (Lost souls, argent gates, and etc.) that would add replayability on the game. Some doors or paths in the game cannot be opened until the second playthrough.
- Moves aren't bought with Red souls anymore. You get uppgrade points now, equaling to one unlock.
- This game is strong in "platforming"
- The settings aren't as "Depressing" as the old DMCs, but the settings are still as dark and bleak as the old DMCs.

In conclusion; I really suggest you play this game and finish it before you criticize it. Some people are just way too quick to criticize because of the facade of any game. You're seriously missing out if you pass this game because this DMC has the core aspects of what the old DMC games had that made it memorable.

Let me finish off that

If I would give a rating on this game, it would be a 9+/10. But I am strongly against number reviews, because people are also quick to assume how a game is based on its number.

Next up will be a Visual review of Devil May Cry!
